SMT Strategy

Seymour Turner is a retired Residential Design/Build Contractor and Mortgage Broker who moved on to other interests after a private equity acquisition of his businesses. He consulted as a Marketing Strategist and Business Data Analyst for leading domestic building product manufacturers such as Andersen Windows, DuPont, and Kohler. Turner is a nationally recognized advocate for universal design and senior wellness through accessible housing, assistive technologies and community-centric solutions. He works with the USC Leonard Davis School of Gerontology as an advisor and instructor on home modification and fall prevention. Turner, along with his team at Homes Renewed Ventures, recently received a Small Business Innovation Research Grant (SBIR) from the National Institute on Aging to develop an app for use by contractors to assess, evaluate and propose bathroom safety modifications in existing residential homes.

What resonates with you most about H.O.M.E.’s mission?  

H.O.M.E.’s provides low-income seniors with an opportunity to live independently in a safe and comfortable home.  By treating seniors with respect and compassion they have the chance to flourish through better health, expanded social connections, and a higher quality of life.
