Alizandra Medina, Director of Advocacy and Neighborhood Engagement

Alizandra Medina joined H.O.M.E. in October 2025 as the first Director of Advocacy and Neighborhood Engagement. She is a public health professional with 8 years of experience in organizing and community partnerships. She leads the statewide Fix Our Homes Illinois campaign and is increasing H.O.M.E.’s community engagement in low-income Chicago neighborhoods.

Ali is an alumn of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where she majored in Community Health. Her previous work centered around advocating for aging equity and advancing efforts for a Multi-sector Plan on Aging in Illinois.

Born and raised in South Chicago, Ali’s early experiences inspired her lifelong commitment to advocating for low-income communities. Outside of work, Ali enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters. You can often find her going on walks, bike rides, or trying out new TikTok recipes. She is a proud Mexican American who loves traveling to Mexico every year to visit family.
