H.O.M.E. receives a grant from the MDRT Foundation

Earlier this month, H.O.M.E. was awarded a grant by the Million Dollar Round Table Foundation.

The MDRT Foundation was created in 1959 to provide MDRT members with a means to give back to their communities. Since its inception, the Foundation has donated more than $34 million in more than 70 countries throughout the world and in all 50 U.S. states. These funds were raised by MDRT members and industry partners. The MDRT Foundation is committed to building stronger families and communities around the globe. This year, the MDRT Foundation will award over $1 million in MDRT member-endorsed grants to more than 200 charitable organizations worldwide. 

H.O.M.E. was nominated for this grant by John Whaley, a longtime friend of H.O.M.E.'s former Executive Director Bruce Otto. John first learned about H.O.M.E. through Bruce and became a supporter of our mission and unique programs for low-income seniors in Chicago.

At H.O.M.E. we depend on the contributions of generous individuals and foundations like MDRT to provide essential housing and housing support services to some of the most vulnerable people in our community. We thank the foundation, and John for recommending us for this award. 

The gift from the Million Dollar Round Table Foundation will allow us to continue pursuing our passion of changing the lives of low-income seniors and developing a more equitable, robust, and age-friendly community in Chicago.
