H.O.M.E. partnering with Rush to offer health services to low-income homeowners

Affordability of housing and housing-related services can directly impact a senior’s health. Through our Upkeep & Repair program, H.O.M.E. performs mostly emergency indoor household repairs to ensure that low-income senior homeowners enjoy healthy and safe living conditions within their own homes.

Rush Logo[9876]In 2019, with the support of The Retirement Research Foundation, Telligen Community Initiatives, and The Kott Memorial Charitable Trust, we are partnering with Rush University Medical Center to offer extended services to clients who enroll in our Upkeep & Repair "Plus" program.

Using an evidence-based model developed by Johns Hopkins, we will add an Occupational Therapist and Registered Nurse to our repair team to address environmental and functional risks that impact a senior’s health.
