St. Patrick's Day at Pat Crowley House

On Friday, it was that time of the year again when the dinner table at Pat Crowley House turns green. St. Patrick's Day had come and Jim, one of the senior residents with Irish background, organized some wine and Guinness beer for the evening to share with the others, as well as a collection of typical Irish music.

While having corned beef, cabbage, baked potatoes and soda bread, the seniors got filmed and interviewed by Mike who is again this year making a video to show at our Annual Celebration Dinner.  Make sure you check that out! It will be introduced on our social media pages.

On the weekend, the residents got more delicious food: the 'Friends of Lindsay' volunteers came again this Saturday and made some nice salmon, while the Chicago Cares guest chefs prepared Chicken Divan with broccoli and egg noodles, salad, and apple pie with vanilla ice cream on Sunday afternoon. Lots of good eating last week!

Thanks to all the volunteers that help us out! You have a good impact on our seniors' everyday life and their well-being. If you like to get involved, click the link below and find out how you can help us:
