Volunteer weekend and friendly visit
Hi, folks!
It was the third weekend of the month again, which meant for Pat Crowley House: The volunteer group 'Friends of Lindsay' came on Saturday and cooked a delicious, home made meal. This time we had Beef Pot Roast and a special dessert, called 'Dirt Dessert'.
On Sunday, our residents could show their creativity by making collages with the volunteers from the Paint the town red program. In the evening, for dinner, we were blessed with guest chefs again, this time from Chicago Cares.
Two residents over at Nathalie Salmon House enjoyed spending time with a volunteer, Adila, who came for a visit. It makes the day a little brighter for the seniors and they enjoy having someone to share time and memories with. Thank you, Adila!
If you like to volunteer for seniors in Chicago and want to know how you can help (e.g. being a guest chef or visiting our residents), see the button below.

Right now until mid December, we have our Weatherization Program ongoing. It is a great volunteer opportunity where we insulate low-income seniors' houses in Chicago so that they have it warm in the upcoming, cold winter months. For more information, please follow the link down here:
