On Valentine's Day, join us in wishing seniors lots of love

Last week, H.O.M.E.'s Young Professionals Board (YPB) hosted a fundraiser and Valentine-making party. Nearly 20 people came out on a drizzly winter evening to support H.O.M.E. and make Valentine's for our senior residents

In their most intergenerational fun-raiser to date, guests as young as eight years old came to craft and send fun messages to the older adults who live with us.

Talented crafters spread a lot of love with bright paper and adorable images. With messages of kindess and friendship like "so many smiles begin with you" we know these notes and cards will warm hearts on Valentine's day.

This fun fundraiser is just one of the many ways that the YPB helps seniors in Chicago. The YPB leads activities throughout the year to support the work of H.O.M.E. From taking on a leadership role in putting on H.O.M.E.'s annual celebration dinner to volunteering with seniors, the group is committed to our mission of helping low-income seniors in Chicago maintain their independence.
