Introducing Super Senior Madness this March
Ahead of the Aging in America conference coming to Chicago this March, H.O.M.E. is getting into the Bracket Game. Starting today, we will be highlighting seniors who have made outstanding achievements in their senior years.
In true tournament style, we will be matching seniors against each other and letting you vote to move them forward in the tournament. At the end of March, we will announce the Super Senior as voted by you!
Here’s how it will work:
- Each weekday we will announce the match-up on Facebook and Twitter with links to pages about the two nominees
- Click on the link to vote for your favorite
- Check social media daily and Senior Moments from H.O.M.E. every Monday in March for updates and more information
Here is your Senior 16:
Entertainers and Artists Division
- Betty White v. Maggie Smith
- Grandma Moses v. Laura Ingalls Wilder
- Ernie Banks v. Minnie Minoso
- Philip Roth v. Toni Morrison
Movers and Shakers Division
- Ruth Bader Ginsburg v. Madeline Albright
- Jane Goodall v. Stephen Hawking
- Maggie Kuhn v. Gloria Steinem
- Jane Addams v. Mother Teresa
We’ll start the competition today with two formidable opponents: America’s Sweetheart Betty White faces off with Dame Maggie Smith.
Both are fiercely talented actresses who are still at the top of their games and over 80 years old. These women have shown us that even in the tough business of show business people can get better with age.
Vote for your favorite below. And be sure to follow us on social media for daily Super Senior Madness matchups throughout March!
