H.O.M.E. Publishes Letter to the Editor
Alizandra Medina, H.O.M.E.’s Director and Advocacy and Neighborhood Engagement, published a group letter to the editor in the Chicago Sun-Times about seniors’ unmet home repair needs. The letter highlighted how H.O.M.E., our Fix Our Homes Illinois partners, and other nonprofits are calling on the City of Chicago to use more than $6.3 million in unspent funds for the City’s Home Repair Program, with an earmark for seniors. You can read the letter below or by visiting the Sun-Time’s website. As the City of Chicago enters its 2027 budget talks, we will continue to push to City to spend its resources to meet the repair needs of low-income senior homeowners.
