Common Cause and Kindred Keynotes and Coaching

Christian Harris is a dynamic speaker, coach, and consultant with a diverse background in entrepreneurship, politics, and social justice. He began his career founding MS Clean and Sons LLC, a Chicagoland cleaning service that grew to over ten staff and 150 clients monthly. Christian later transitioned into the limo service industry, gained political experience as an Oak Park Public Library Board member, and served as Finance Officer from 2017 to 2021, where he managed a $10 million budget and led the library’s first anti-racism strategic plan.

Christian has held leadership roles as West Side Regional Field Organizing Director for Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson’s campaign and as Director of DEI and Operations for DM Burton LLC. As a consultant and resilience coach since 2019, he has worked with organizations like the California Department of Public Health, coaching on leadership, DEIJ strategies, and scaling for growth.

He also served as the first Executive Director of Reparation Generation, a national nonprofit advancing reparative policies and programs. Under his leadership, the organization expanded its national profile, launched new initiatives, secured major philanthropic investment, and deepened partnerships across the growing social justice movement.

A captivating speaker, Christian has been invited to speak at events such as the MilliporeSigma Kwanzaa Celebration and Lutheran School of Theology's Black History Month Event. He has served on the boards of the Oak Park River Forest Chamber of Commerce and The North Avenue District.

In 2023, Christian founded Kindred Keynotes and Coaching (KKC), helping nonprofit, philanthropic and social impact leaders translate equity values into clear strategy, healthy culture, and authentic leadership.

In 2026, Christian became the Executive Director of Common Cause, IL, a national non-partisan organization with chapters in 32 states dedicated to upholding the core values of American democracy by creating open, honest, and accountable government. In this role he serves as the senior leader of Common Cause Illinois, directing the Illinois Team's statewide efforts to strengthen democracy, expand voting rights, advance government accountability and build civic power through a racial equity lens.

Christian lives in Chicago's South Shore Neighborhood with his wife, Richelle, and their daughter.
