Joel Rice, Vice President

Fisher & Phillips

Joel Rice is a partner in a management-side labor and employment law firm. For over 30 years, Joel has represented a wide range of employers, from Fortune 500 companies to small businesses, in connection with the employment issues they face. Over that time period, Joel has defended hundreds of employment-related matters before various federal/state courts and numerous agencies.

Joel’s legal practice is focused upon complex litigation, including collective and class actions under federal and state wage and hour laws, as well as the defense of other employment claims brought on a class basis, including claims brought against employers under the Illinois Biometric Privacy Act.

Joel also frequently counsels employers concerning trade secrets and restrictive covenant agreements, and litigates claims in that area of the law in both the federal and state courts.

What resonates with you most about H.O.M.E.’s mission?

H.O.M.E.’s service directed towards the historically underserved, and vulnerable, elderly population. Of equal resonance for me is HOME’s emphasis on community, dignity of the individual, and combating the social isolation of the elderly.
