Brendan Short, Director of Development

Brendan Short joined H.O.M.E. as Director of Development in January 2023. Previously, he served as Senior Foundation Relations Officer at the Shriver Center on Poverty Law, and as a fundraiser for nonprofits serving low-income communities in Washington, D.C. He holds a B.A. in American Studies from the University of Notre Dame and an M.F.A. in Creative Writing from the University of Texas, where he held a three-year fellowship at the James A. Michener Center for Writers. His short stories and poems have appeared in several literary journals, and he is the author of the novel Dream City.
