Celebrating 35 Years of H.O.M.E.!

Last week nearly 300 H.O.M.E. supporters came together to celebrate H.O.M.E.'s 35th Anniversary at our Annual Celebration Dinner!

Guests enjoyed dinner and an evening of connecting with other supporters at The Bridgeport Art Center. We were honored to have as our MC for the night John McCarron, distinguished urban affairs journalist and H.O.M.E. supporter.

Attendees enjoyed a Wine Grab and Silent Auction (sponsored by our Young Professionals Board) --top winners won trips to San Diego, Cubs tickets, and custom art and jewelry.

Other winners won opportunities to engage with H.O.M.E. by having dinner with our seniors or taking a ride on our shopping bus.

As we do every year during the Celebration Dinner, we premiered a video that highlights the impact of our work here at H.O.M.E.

Watch the video now!

We also honored individuals and organizations who embody the spirit of H.O.M.E.:

  • The Chicago Bridge - H.O.M.E. has had a strong relationship with Chicago Bridge for years. We are grateful for Chicago Bridge's dedication to developing leaders in the field of aging.
  • Pat Bridges, Peoples Gas - Peoples Gas has been an invaluable partners that has enabled us to serve dozens of seniors each year through our Volunteer Program. Pat has played a pivotal role in developing a strong relationship between H.O.M.E. and Peoples Gas.
  • Oscar Sanchez, H.O.M.E. Staff Member - Oscar has served as H.O.M.E.'s building engineer at the Nathalie Salmon house since it opened! He has played a role in maintaining an outstanding level of workmanship at Nathalie Salmon House and through his work Oscar has formed incredible relationships with our residents.

Together, as a community of H.O.M.E. supporters, we raised over $85,000!

Couldn't make it to our Annual Celebration Dinner? It's not too late to contribute to H.O.M.E.'s mission to help low-income seniors maintain their independence.
