National Volunteer Week: Volunteers bring joy to seniors in Chicago
This week is National Volunteer Week, and will be honoring how H.O.M.E.'s volunteers bring joy to seniors in Chicago!
Over on Facebook and Twitter this week we will be spotlighting our volunteers - from new volunteers, group volunteers, and longtime volunteers.
Ken Campagna, our Ignatian Lay volunteer, was highlighted last year in the Ignatian Lay Corps newsletter. He's been helping out one of our Home Repair Specialists for four years. We're so grateful that he is still working with us each week!
From helping older adult homeowners stay warm in their homes in the winter to serving meals to Good Life residents, our volunteers make a difference in the lives of senior Chicagoans every day.
We love our volunteers!
And, our volunteers and seniors love each other, too!
Do you have a special talent you'd like to share?
Perhaps you'd like to do some gardening, or get a group together for painting this summer? Do you play an instrument or like to knit? Connect with our seniors!
There are lots of ways to get involved. We invite you to explore the options, and join us!
Follow us on Facebook and Twitter to see all the ways that volunteers make an impact.
