How volunteers help us out
H.O.M.E. would not be H.O.M.E. without the help of many volunteers. On Saturday, the Good Life senior residents at Nathalie Salmon House enjoyed a nice dinner, prepared by volunteer guest chef Roisin and her friend: an egg and garlic based sauce on Mostaccioli with sausage, sauteed mushrooms and spinach, as well as garlic bread and vegetables.
At Pat Crowley House, the seniors got introduced to a new group of Loyola nursing students. They come regularly to check on the residents, talk with them about health-related issues and give advice.
Thanks to our friend and valuable volunteer Kornel, our old station wagon's flat tire was replaced and the car is ready to go again!
