H.O.M.E. has joined #ILGive! Will you give on Giving Tuesday?

Many of us at H.O.M.E. have been cheering on the Cubs in the World Series. And since we have caught Cubs fever, H.O.M.E. has a Cubs-inspired challenge for you for Giving Tuesday.

Go_Cubs_Go.jpg#GivingTuesday is a global day of giving celebrated on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving, Black Friday, and Cyber Monday. It's a day to celebrate giving back and kicks off the charitable season, when many focus on their holiday and end-of-year giving.

Giving Tuesday is November 29th this year.

H.O.M.E. has joined #ILGive, a campaign to engage Illinoisans in participating in Giving Tuesday by giving to organizations in the communities where we live.

As part of #ILGive, H.O.M.E.'s goal is to raise $20,000 to help some of Chicago's most vulnerable residents - low-income seniors - meet their housing needs.

You can help by giving here on November 29th.

For inspiration, our Executive Director, Bruce Otto, has a challenge for you:

Will you join us in our mission on November 29th to help low-income seniors maintain their independence?

Not only will your gift provide seniors with essential housing and housing support services but if we raise $20,000 on Giving Tuesday, Bruce will wear a zany Opposuit (like the Cubs wore this summer) and a hipster-styled wig for a full day in the office.

Mark your calenders for November 29, 2016 to give to help seniors in Chicago.

If you are on board to help and want to learn how you can spread the word, click below to sign up to be an #ILGive Champion for H.O.M.E. We will send you tools and information on how to share our story and your passion for helping seniors.
