H.O.M.E. for the holidays

Mable's daughter-in-law, Wendy, is so grateful that Mable is H.O.M.E. for the holidays. She recently told us, "You hear stories about how isolated and lonely so many seniors are, so it’s a huge comfort to know she is at a place that keeps her social and happy."

We're so happy that Mable has made H.O.M.E. her home, too.

Last week, Mable joined with her neighbors at Nathalie Salmon House, along with the rest of the H.O.M.E. family from Pat Crowley House and Blackhawk Manor, for a holiday party complete with music, games, and dinner.

It was a jolly time for kids from 1 to 92! Our youngest resident, Ethan, was unsurprisingly a hit as he led the H.O.M.E. family in dancing in his elf outfit.

Ethan and his parents live in our intergenerational building where they have formed meaningful relationships with the older adults who are a part of their community. Ethan's mom has told us in the past, "Ethan has 30 grandmas and grandpas cooing over him."

We also had special guests from St. Clement Church who volunteered to host the party with us. We couldn't have had such a successful evening of celebration and fun without the group!

We thank St. Clement for making our season bright!

If you are looking for a way to bring warmth and joy to the lives of seniors in our community, please explore the many ways you can do so with H.O.M.E. From weatherizing homes to cooking a meal to hosting a party, there are lots of ways to get involved!
