Town Hall on Home Repair Set for Springfield!

  • Lincoln Library 326 South 7th Street Springfield, IL, 62757 United States (map)

Thousands of older and low-income homeowners across Illinois are living in unsafe conditions because they can’t afford critical repairs. Together, we can change that.

Seniors anchor our neighborhoods, especially in low-income neighborhoods and towns. This means helping seniors age at home in safety, comfort, and dignity is not only an urgent need, but will improve the quality of life in entire communities.

Join us on Saturday, October 4 at 12:00 PM, at the Lincoln Library (326 S. 7th Street, Springfield, IL) for the Fix Our Homes Illinois Town Hall.

This is your chance to:

✅ Stand with older homeowners as they share their stories, and hear from the DePaul Institute for Housing Studies

✅ Show legislators that Illinoisans demand action

✅ Connect with neighbors and advocates building a statewide solution

We’re turning lived experience into real policy change in the form of a comprehensive infrastructure for senior home repair in Illinois through legislative action — and we need you there.

Together, we can make 2026 the year Illinois finally invests in safe, healthy homes for all. Don’t miss your chance to be part of this movement."
